Who is My Savior?
It is a common belief among Christianity to believe you will receive salvation in the name of Jesus. It’s a teaching that Jesus Christ gave us 2000 years ago and can be seen many times throughout the bible.
When Jesus came a 2nd time with the name of Christ Ahnsahnghong, while on this earth, He set the example of praying in the name of Jesus.
So I heard a rumor that WMSCOG doesn’t follow the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong because we pray in his name and not in the name of Jesus, like He did. They even go as far as to quote His book and making their claim look legit.
Well, its true. Christ Ahnsahnghong did pray in the name of Jesus while living on this earth and He did mention it in his book. I find it amusing to see that they take words out of context and try to disclaim the WMSCOG as if ‘we go against the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong’.
(Don’t misunderstand me, it is very deceiving and spiritually dangerous to believe what these people are saying, but these false rumors and their actions are pitiful and naive.)
What is happening now is no different then what happened 2000 years ago.
While Jesus was on this earth, he never told his disciples to pray in His name. Actually, it wasn’t until right before He left to return to the kingdom of heaven did he teach the disciples to pray and ask anything in His name.
The same exact thing happened with Christ Ahnsahnghong. He prayed in the name of Jesus up until he finished his gospel work and returned to the kingdom of Heaven. Right before He left, he taught to pray and ask for anything in His name. After that time, the disciples and members of the WMSCOG that followed him began to pray in His name.
If we want to take what people are saying about Christ Ahnsahnghong’s book literally, then all the churches in the world are praying wrong because of what the Bible teaches.
Joel 2:31-32 “The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.
If we take this verse literally, then we all must pray in the name of Jehovah. We must pray in the name of Jehovah until the day God comes to bring judgment because the name of Jesus wasn’t given at that time.
My point is this: the name of the savior (at that time) was Jehovah and the name of Jesus wasn’t given. So the prophet wrote that we should call on the name of the Lord (Jehovah).
It wasn’t until Jesus came and then commanded his disciples to pray in His name that they began praying in the name of Jesus.
2. Then who should we pray to now?
The same thing that happened 2,000 years ago is happening now. Today, everyone is praying in the name of Jesus, but since Christ has now come for a 2nd time with the name of Ahnsahnghong, He then taught us at the very end to pray in His name.
So when people say that Christ Ahnsahnghong wrote in his book that ‘we should pray in the name of Jesus in the last days to receive salvation’, it is true.
But Christ Ahnsahnghong also said that the savior would have a ‘New Name.’
Christ Ahnsahnghong taught what was already in the Scriptures:
Revelation 3:11-12 “I am coming soon. Hold on to you what you have, so that no one will take your crown…and I will also write on them my new name…”
Jesus Christ testified that he will have a new name & Christ Ahnsahnghong also taught that the Savior will have a new name.
So at the WMSCOG, we believe and teach that we must pray in the name of the Savior in this age, Christ Ahnsahnghong, to receive salvation.
There are no contradictions or difference between the teachings of the bible, Jesus, Christ Ahnsahnghong, nor the WMSCOG.
So don’t be discouraged by what rumors you may read online but visit your local Church of God for a bible study.
